Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
Last updated June 28, 2026
The short version. Your health data is yours. We encrypt it, we do not sell it, and you decide who else can see it. The detail below explains exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Aevia is operated by Canyon Medical Inc. ("Canyon Medical", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, reserve or buy an Aevia patch, or use the Aevia product and related services (together, the "Services").
This policy applies to people in the United States, the market Aevia currently serves. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information the patch records, and information collected automatically when you use our website.
Information you give us. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, date of birth or age range, account login details, and the contents of any message you send us. When you place an order, your payment is processed by our payment provider; we receive confirmation and limited billing details but not your full card number.
Wellness information from the patch. When you wear and activate an Aevia patch, it records wellness signals such as heart rate, heart rhythm, blood-oxygen trends, breathing rate, skin temperature, movement and activity, and related readings, along with the time and general context of those readings. You may also choose to add information yourself, such as how you are feeling or notes for your own records.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we collect device and usage data such as your browser type, device type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics, through cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the Services, including to: set up and manage your account; show you your wellness trends and history; ship your patches and manage your resupply and subscription; process payments and prevent fraud; provide customer support; send you service messages about your account, orders, and the product; with your permission, send you wellness tips and marketing about Aevia; understand how the Services are used so we can make them better and safer; and meet our legal, tax, and security obligations.
We do not use your wellness information to make decisions about your insurance, credit, or employment, and we do not allow others to use it for those purposes.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these limited cases:
People you choose. If you invite a family member or other person to follow your wellness summary, we share what you have asked us to share with them, and you can change or remove that access at any time.
Service providers. We work with companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, shipping and fulfillment, email and customer-support tools, and analytics. They may handle your information only to perform work for us, under written agreements that require them to protect it and not use it for their own purposes.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or others.
Business transfers. If Canyon Medical is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require that it remain subject to protections consistent with this policy, and we will let you know of any material change.
5. Your wellness data, treated with extra care
We treat the signals from your patch as sensitive personal information. We limit who inside Canyon Medical can access it to those who need it to provide the Services, we keep it encrypted, and we never sell it. Because Aevia is a general wellness product and not a healthcare provider, this information is generally not "protected health information" under HIPAA, but we still hold it to a high standard of care.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we ask for your choice through a banner. Some features may not work properly if you disable certain cookies.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you have an account and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and security needs. You can ask us to delete your information, and we will do so unless we are required to keep some of it by law. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
8. How we protect your information
We encrypt your data in transit and at rest, restrict access to those who need it, and apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect you and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Your rights and choices
You can, at any time: access the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct it if it is wrong; ask us to delete it; download a copy of your wellness data; and opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about your account or orders.
State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect, to delete, to correct, to data portability, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising, and to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. As noted above, we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. You may also authorize someone to make a request for you. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
If you have any question about this policy or your information, please reach us at privacy@aevia.com, or write to Canyon Medical Inc., Privacy Team, United States. We read every message and aim to respond promptly.
